Education Parallels - The Roaring 20s v. Roaring 2020s

The idea of the “roaring 2020s” abounds. Whether the Covid-19 vaccine ushers in a similar set of social, economic, and cultural macrotrends to those that emerged immediately after the 1918 influenza pandemic and the end of World War 1 remains to be seen.  Interestingly, education is generally lost in this conversation despite a number of similar parallels between the challenges and opportunities in both decades. A few examples including the causes fueling the issue/opportunity for each decade follow.
