on Generative Artificial Intelligence

School Social Workers play a crucial role in advancing a school's mission of fostering an environment conducive to learning and the development of student competence and confidence. Given School Social Workers’ unique skills, role, and proximity to students, staff, and families, Opportunity Labs conducted a nationwide survey of school social workers to understand their views on the effects of emerging technologies, specifically generative AI, on student wellbeing.

For Youth to Thrive

An Evidence-based Research Agenda for Impact. Decades of research have unequivocally demonstrated that when children and adolescents are given the opportunity to thrive, their lives undergo a remarkable transformation, and their paths towards adulthood become considerably brighter. And yet there is no clear agreement on the essential components for thriving. This report enters the discourse at this juncture, compelled to push the conversation further.

Healthy Schools Ten-Year Roadmap

A bold, evidence-based collection of opportunities to accelerate transformational change. The Roadmap was developed by National Healthy Schools Collaborative, a collective impact group of well-established, nationally recognized organizations working in health and education. Opportunity Labs facilitated the creation of the roadmap.

The American Dream Academy

The American Dream Academy (TADA) is a tuition-free, six-month online program that will equip 200,000 underemployed Americans with the technical and workplace skills, credentials, and confidence to unlock social and economic opportunities and pursue their American dreams.

A comprehensive set of tools designed to strengthen educators' ability to use evidence from across disciplines to accelerate whole student recovery from Covid-19.

Return to School Roadmap

Created early in the Covid-19 pandemic, the roadmap is comprised of the essential actions designed to spur thinking, planning and prioritization and likely to have the most significant impact with limited time and resources.

Roadmap 2 Recovery

A follow-up to the Return to School Roadmap, this version of the roadmap is designed to spur thinking, planning, and implementation of evidence-based interventions to continue to navigate the pandemic and to begin to plan for recovery.
